Are You Expecting?

Congratulations! We are excited for the opportunity to partner with you as you prepare for the arrival of your baby. We offer a complimentary visit for you to meet our physicians and staff and to tour our office (bring your completed New Family Information Form with you).  We will discuss newborn care, breastfeeding, immunizations, circumcision, clinic policies, and any other questions and concerns that you may have.

Please notify your OB/midwife that you have chosen a physician at The Children’s Clinic and we will be notified once your baby is born. Our doctors have privileges at both Providence Alaska Medical Center and Alaska Regional Hospital and will see your newborn every day while you are in the hospital.  If you plan to deliver at a Birthing Center, please notify our office after your baby's birth to setup a Newborn Check appointment within 2-3 days. Please have your provider fax our office your baby's birth records.

We will arrange to see your newborn at our clinic 2-3 days following discharge. We also have a knowledgeable group of Lactation Consultants who are available to help you with all breastfeeding needs after you are discharged from the hospital.

Are you Adopting?

We happily welcome parents who are planning to adopt a child, either domestically or internationally. Please schedule a complimentary visit at our clinic to meet our physicians and staff (bring your completed New Family Information Form with you). We would be happy to review any pertinent health records you may have with you.
